IARS' STRUCTURE IARS is a youth-led social policy think-tank that is registered as a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales (Company no 5348191) and a Registered Charity no 1124590. IARS' base is in London, but its links and partnerships extend to the US, Belgium, Hungary, Canada, Greece, Cyprus, Spain and internationally. The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees that is recruited from IARS' members and friends. On a day to day basis, IARS is run by its small and passionate staff team. However, it is within our young volunteers that IARS' expertise lies in youth-led research on human rights, equality, criminal justice, community cohesion and restorative justice. They support the staff and trustees by carrying out research and policy work that is managed, monitored and accounted for by the organisation. Through the standing Youth Advisory Group all of IARS activities are scrutinised. IARS is proud of its unique structure which aims to empower young people so that they can take leadership over matters that concern them while being facilitated by an expert youth-led organisation to reach their objectives. IARS is interested only in work that advances the public benefit. IARS' income is used for the development of its charitable objects as well as for running the organisation. IARS relies on donations and charitable funds. IARS adopts and implements an Equal Opportunity Policy. For a copy click here. For our Child Protection Policy please click here.
