Francis Kadaplackal: Trustee

Francis Kadaplackal is a full time lecturer of ‘Ethics, Philosophy, Religion, and Worldviews’ at the Katholieke Hogeschool Sint-Lieven (it is an associate institution of the Catholic University, Leuven) in Aalst, Belgium. Francis is also a doctoral researcher in the Department of Moral Theology, at the Catholic University of Leuven. At the moment he is doing a research on Environmental Ethics, entitled: “From ‘imago Dei’ to the ‘Created co-Creator’: Going Beyond Strong Anthropocentrism through an Ethical and a Theological Reinterpretation of the Role and task of the Human Beings in Creation”.

He is also a researcher at the interdisciplinary ‘Centre for Science, Technology and Ethics’ of Catholic University, Leuven, which carries out researches in the areas of engineering ethics and environmental ethics. Francis holds an Advanced Masters Degree in Theology with distinction (2005), a Masters Degree in Religious Studies with distinction (2003), and a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies with distinction (2002) from the Catholic University, Leuven, Belgium. He holds also a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy with distinction (1996) from the Jnanodaya Institute of Philosophy, Tamil Nadu, India.
