IARS has been working with The Young Foundation and its team of Young Journalists this summer. IARS have delivered the research methods training to the young journalists for the Youth of Today Project. The Youth of Today project is a research investigation into what young people aged 13-25 think, feel and experience about future employment and entrepreneurship.

These young people have now developed a survey for other young people aged 13-25, and they would love for your help in filling it in and passing it along to other young people:

Recently the IARS Youth Advisory Group with the support of the Prince's Trust wrote a letter to David Cameron offering its support for the government’s Big Society vision. The letter also detailed the important role that the youth-led sector could play in the delivery of the National Citizens Service and the establishment of the Big Society.

March will see the publicaiton of the first Youth Voice Special which focuses on youth perspectives of the forthcoming 2012 London Olympics. This special edition has been produced by six volunteers who have each written opinion pieces on aspects of the 2012 Games which they identified as important to their lives.

IARS has recently provided the Equality and Human Rights Commission with a response to its Call for Evidence for its forthcoming Triennial Review. As a youth-led social policy think tank IARS has a unique position for providing a genuine youth voice on inequality issues facing young people today; particularly those living in London.
