Recently the IARS Youth Advisory Group with the support of the Prince's Trust wrote a letter to David Cameron offering its support for the government’s Big Society vision. The letter also detailed the important role that the youth-led sector could play in the delivery of the National Citizens Service and the establishment of the Big Society.

On 30th July 2010, IARS move into new premises. Our new address is Park Place, 10-12 Lawn Lane, London SW8 1UD. We are very excited with this move and hope to invite our members and service users soon to an office warming party.

On the 8th of July, Dr. Gavrielides, IARS Director, spoke at the Institute of Education (University of London) conference on Positive Action and Community Cohesion. Dr. Gavrielides spoke about the Positive Action clauses in the Equality Act 2010 and provided a critical analysis of current policy and other equality legislation. Dr. Gavrielides also presented a number of available levers for community cohesion within human rights legislation.
