Chair of London Councils Grants Committee responds to IARS' October letter

On the 8th October, IARS submitted a letter to London Councils ahead on the Grants Executive meeting on the 19th October highlighting IARS’ members' position on the potential repatriation of grants to Local Authorities. London Youth-led Sector Forum on Big Society

Over the past few months the London Youth-led Sector Policy Forum has been working hard to ensure that the youth-led sector is kept on the new coalition government’s agenda.

The Forum is helping IARS in developing their national event which in partnership with the Princes Trust will showcase how the youth-led sector, which includes frontline and infrastructure groups, fits into the Big Society vision.

IARS' young people write to Lord Wei about Big Society

Recently the IARS Youth Advisory Group (YAG), with the support of the Princes Trust, sent a letter to David Cameron about how young people can be engaged to build the Big Society. The private office of the Prime Minister directed the YAG to liaise directly with Lord Wei, advisor to the government on the Big Society programme.
