18-25? Enrol in IARS' University Accredited Certificate in Youth Policy: Free places

IARS is now accepting applications from young people 18+ who are interested in enrolling in the Certificate in Youth Policy programme.

This is a work based accredited course (two university modules) delivered in partnership with London Metropolitan University.  The Certificate provides a taster of University life whilst giving the student the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through volunteering with IARS.  The course is flexible and can be undertaken over a minimum of 8 months or a maximum of 2 yrs. Applicants are required to dedicate approximately 7 hours per week to the programme.

Eligibility

This course is for young people aged 18+. There are no minimum academic requirements to be eligible to enrol on this course and we actively encourage young people who have few or no qualifications to apply.

Application Process

Please submit a CV (2 pages maximum) and the completed attached application form no later than 10:00am on the  23RD  September 2010 by post or e-mail. If you require assistance or space to complete the application form you are welcome to come to the IARS office. Please contact Alastair to arrange this (see contact details above).

 Successful candidates will be notified soon after   23rd  September and will be asked to attend a short interview. Candidates will need to be available to attend a course open day on either the 27th September between10am-2pm or 3pm to 6pm or the  28th  September between 2pm-5pm or 6pm-9pm.  Candidates will also need to be available to attend an interview and undertake a short literacy test on the 29th  September.  Time slots between 2pm and 9pm will be offered. Please indicate in your covering letter whether you are available for the above dates and times.
