Youth Worker / Coach Opportunity – Immediate Start in Southwark
 
Consultancy contract to 31/3/18
Remuneration: £4253 inclusive VAT
 
The Young Carers Matter project is designed to help some of the most marginalised young people in Southwark to improve their life chances and improve their opportunities of gaining employment.  You can make a big difference to many young people’s lives in the borough by helping us to complete this innovative youth project.  If you are interested in making young people’s lives better we want to hear from you today.
 
We are looking for a Youth Worker / coach to work with BAME Young People in Southwark for a short period of 2 months to deliver the following objectives:
 
  1. Identify 10 BAME young carers to support and coach them to prepare for interviews and gain employment.
  2. Create links to local employers with a view to raising awareness of young carers’ issues in gaining employment and identifying opportunities for young carers to gain employment.
  3. Provide training to BAME young carers about preparation for employment.
The training package is already prepared and we have local links in place; we just need you to make it happen.
