IARS carries out a range of projects that address key youth challenges for public and social policy at the local, regional, national and international level. All our projects are delivered by young people (12-30 yrs old). While engaged in project delivery, young people are supported through our skills development, volunteer and work placement programmes.
Our youth-led projects, research and programmes help us to build a body of solid evidence to enable policy development. We strongly believe in good project evaluation (outputs & outcomes) and hence we have adopted the Oracle framework. All our youth-led projects are also monitored by our Youth Advisory Group, while our publications are quality controlled by the Academic & Editorial Board.
Below you can find links to our current and legacy research and policy projects covering areas such as criminal justice, human rights, equality, restorative justice and social cohesion.
If you are between 16 and 30 and want to get involved as a volunteer in one of our exciting projects, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Holly Challenger on 020 8133 8317 or h.challenger@iars.org.uk or click here.
