We are currently looking for an energetic Youth Worker/Trainer to work on various community engagement projects targeted to young people aged 13-25 years old from diverse backgrounds in the Southwark area. (not exclusively).

The right candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of the IARS Youth empowerment skills development youth training programmes. Other responsibilities will include the coordination of volunteering opportunities for young people through delivery of various community-based social action projects. 

Who we are looking for  

For this role, we are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic, energetic and qualified youth worker with proven experience in positive youth engagement. The right candidate should also have excellent communications skills and confidence in liaising with parents, schools staff, the police and other community groups and organizations in order to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.  Excellent organizational skills, and ability to plan and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines are also essential.

Enhanced DBS is required but we can support you to get this done. 

Benefits & Working hours

This is a flexible role for up to 10 hours per week (evening and weekends might be required) and is offered on a consultancy basis £12  per hour.
