At IARS, we are very excited to announce that we will be partnering with Lon-Art (http://lon-art.org/) for their 3rd Social Exhibition Sheroes!
Through our partnership, Lon-art will be delivering a ceramic workshop to IARS group of refugee and migrant women, who make up the Women’s Advisory Board at IARS. Their work from the workshop will then be featured in the Sheroes exhibition from the 8-11 of March as part of our collaboration.
Lon-Art initiative is deeply connected with the aims of our Gender and Justice Empowerment Project, Sheroes will give the opportunity for our group of refugee women to express themselves, tell their stories in a non-conventional way and have their voices heard. Ultimately, this can be extremely empowering and rewarding.
Reflecting upon the comparative lack of female role models in society, Sheroes is a collaborative project that will build a platform for the public and artists to share hidden herstories through visual art, workshops and talks.
Visit Sheroes website for more info about the concept, the artists and the workshops.
