The Youth Advisory Group

As a youth organisation committed to empowering young people to influence policy and practice it is important that IARS’ work is influenced by a body of young people. IARS has a group of 6 young people that form the Youth Advisory Group (YAG) who have taken on responsibility for evaluating events, reviewing the inclusion of young people in the organisation and act as a sounding board for the IARS staff.

The YAG is a composition of young people that meet at least quarterly to review IARS’ publications, project work and evaluate the organisation's events. The purpose of the YAG is to provide a platform for young people to criticise, acclaim and suggest improvements within the organisation.

Members of the Youth Advisory Group conduct their own meetings independently to review different aspects of IARS’ work.
