Biography

 Andriana Ntziadima is the IARS International Institute's Communications and Youth Projects Manager. She has extensive experience of working with and engaging young people both as a grassroots campaigner and as well as in the role of policy and research coordinator. She is currently managing the 99% Campaign; a youth led initiative that aims to dispel negative stereotypes of young people, to promote social inclusion and positive thinking. Over the last 4 years Andriana has worked on various European research and policy programmes with specific focus on justice and human rights, youth citizenship and inclusion eg the Erasmus+ KA2 “Enabling Youth Voice across Europe”, the “Restorative Justice in Europe: Safeguarding Victims & Empowering Professionals” and the “Restorative Justice and in cases of Domestic Violence”. Her research interests include restorative justice, offenders’ rehabilitation, impact evaluation, citizenship, participation and youth policy.
 

Having worked for 8 years as a teacher in both public and private educational institutions, she developed a keen interest in children’s and young peoples’ rights and became an advocate of their rights. Before she joined IARS she worked for over a year for Oxfam’s International Campaign Health and Education for All, advocating and raising awareness of young peoples’ rights and access to education and health services in developing countries. Additionally Adriana holds a BA in Greek Language and Linguistics and a BA in Communications and Mass Media from the Hellenic Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. She also has a Masters Degree in Research Methods in Social Sciences awarded by the University of Essex, UK.
