Biography

Besa joined IARS in February 2010 as a Part-Time Finance Manager and has over 15 years of experience working as a financial accountant, seven of which has been working in the charity sector. Besa also works part-time as a Finance Officer at School for Social Entrepreneurs and Healthy Living Projects.

Previously Besa was a Treasurer and board member of the Shpresa Programme, dealing with all financial matters of the organisation. With a high level of financial experience, Besa left here position of Treasurer and Board member and joined the organisation as Finance Manager.

Besa has setup and currently manages the Crossover Accountants Project, based at Mansfield House in Plaistow E13. The project provides practical training for refugees and migrants with an accountancy background and provides accountancy services to small voluntary and community groups. Besa is a qualified accountant and has a degree in Finance and Accounts from the State University in Albania.
