Biography

Holly is the Volunteer Coordinator for IARS and is responsible for the recruitment and supervision of the organisation's young volunteers.

Prior to working for IARS, Holly was employed as a Youth Volunteer Advisor for Vinvolved Central London, a youth volunteering charity. In this position she designed and coordinated volunteering projects for marginalised groups of young people, such as young parents, young refugees and young people living in care. She has also worked for two refugee charities, Reconnect and The Evelyn Oldfield Unit, and has a particular interest in changing the negative preconceptions around asylum seekers and refugees in the UK.

Holly studied English at King's College, Cambridge. Whilst she was studying, she co-founded a theatre group, which travelled to India and Nepal and worked with homeless children and young people.
