Rosie Tilson-Smith
Organisation
IARS
Role
Research and Editorial Assistant
Biography
Rosie joined IARS in 2011 as the Research and Editorial Assistant. Her role includes the planning, delivery and scrutiny of IARS’ research and policy programme, as well as being the Assistant Managing Editor of IARS’ Youth Voice Journal.
Prior to joining IARS, Rosie worked as a Research Assistant at Gracechurch Consulting, a research consultancy working primarily in the professional services sector.
Rosie also studies part time for an MSc in Gender and Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her degree deals with the theory and practice of social policy in British and European contexts, specifically concentrating on analysis through a gendered lens. She is hoping to conduct her thesis on the extent to which UK policy adequately deals with the phenomenon of street harassment. Her undergraduate degree in Media, Culture and Society at The University of Birmingham sparked her interest in the field of research and she explored the theme of transitioning between youth and adulthood in her final year dissertation.
