Biography
After two years on the Executive Council of the English Secondary Students’ Association (ESSA) during my sixth form years, I worked full time with the organisation in my gap year. This post gave me daily exposure to the various forms of ‘voice’ for young people, from school councils to self-started youth campaigns combating knife and gun crime in central London. The role required political and academic work on young people’s issues with the criminal justice system and human rights, which I hope will be of benefit during my time with IARS. I am currently studying classics at University, with a view to a career in the charitable sector. Aside from continued work with young people via volunteering with ESSA and other bodies, I am a keen rugby player and run a college comedy club.
