Geena is a recent Economics graduate of Aberystwyth University where she was awarded with the best dissertation in Economics in 2018. She is currently undertaking a master’s degree at the University of Sussex, specialising in migrant remittances and entrepreneurship in the Balkans and post-Soviet states. She has a variety of professional experience gained during internships and positions with the UN, NGO’s and higher education institutions. Her passion is for youth-led enterprise schemes where she has been instrumental in setting up entrepreneurship clubs at universities and worked for Young Enterprise (Sussex Region) as a business advisor. Geena was volunteer of the year 2018 at Aberystwyth Students Union where she set up the Economics Society and mentored new students through their time at University as well as campaigning for B-eat. Geena is able to balance multiple competing priorities, having balanced a degree, two jobs and numerous extra-curricular activities and committee roles throughout my undergraduate.
