IARS’ Youth Policy Response Group will be meeting on Monday 5th September to discuss the Department for Education’s consultation; Positive for Youth.

Organisations with an interest in youth policy are invited to attend this meeting which will be taking place from 10am – 12pm at IARS’ office in Stockwell.

The Positve for Youth consultation consists of a series of discussion papers exploring specific aspects fo youth policy. Those papers entitled ‘Young People’s Role in Society’ and ‘Preventing Youth Crime and Substance Misuse’ will form the focus of the Youth Policy Response Group’s forthcoming meeting. The meeting will be attended by a range of representatives from the voluntary sector and the discussion will inform a joint submission to the consultation to be written by IARS.

Past Youth Policy Response Group meetings have generated responses to Government consultations including the Department for Education’s National Curriculum Review Call for Evidence and Building a Fairer Britain: Reform of the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
