IARS writes to give its supprot to the new Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service, Mr. Hogan-Howe

“Dear Mr Hogan-Howe,

I would like to personally congratulate you on your appointment as the new Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police. IARS works closely with the MPS in a variety of capacities, and I look forward to working with you in making London a safer and better place.

IARS is an independent social policy think-tank with a charitable mission to enable young people from all walks of life to have a better future and participate equally and democratically in civic life.

You may be aware of IARS’ 99% campaign, a pan-London, youth-led initiative that brings together key public, private and civil society organisations to dispel stereotypes about young people and make the capital a better, safer and more inclusive place. The campaign’s Core Partners’ Group currently includes MPS, Safer London Foundation, and London Councils among others.

Please find enclosed our latest Impact Report with information on the campaign and our criminal justice and youth justice programmes.

All the best in your new post.

Best wishes,
